What is the difference between your Amylose/Amylopectin Assay Kit (K-AMYL) and the Total Starch Kit (K-TSTA)? I need to separate amylose from amylopectin in maize plants and quantify each fraction - which kit would be most suitable.

The Amylose/Amylopectin Assay Kit (K-AMYL) is most suitable and employs Con A to selectively precipitate the amylopectin.
