Can the Amylose/Amylopectin Assay Kit (K-AMYL) be used to measure total starch?

Modified on Wed, 10 Nov, 2021 at 3:13 PM

It is not recommended to use the Amylose/Amylopectin kit for the measurement of total starch. Since the amylose/amylopectin procedure is much more complicated than total starch procedure and samples used in K-AMYL are smaller (25 mg), it may lead to bigger errors.
