Is is possible to measure amylose and amylopectin separately using K-TSTA?

It is not possible to measure amylose and amylopectin separately using the total starch kit. 


This method measures total starch (amylose plus amylopectin). To measure amylose separately, you need to separate the amylose and amylopectin.


In amylose/amylopectin kit (K-AMYL), we do this by precipitating the amylopectin from solution through its reaction with concanavalin A.
