What is the purpose of the control in the Yeast and Mushroom Beta Glucan assay (K-YBGL)?

The purpose of the yeast control is to ensure the assay is performing correctly, and as expected. If the assay is run correctly, the obtained value should match that stated on the bottle.


For our QC acceptance criteria, values within +/- 5% of that stated on the bottle are accepted, but it is up to each customer to determine their own acceptance criteria.
