Is it possible to conclude a sample is lactose free or low lactose from the results obtained from the Lactose/Galactose Assay Kit (K-LACGAR)?

Modified on Tue, 9 Nov, 2021 at 8:47 AM

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) defines "low lactose" as containing less than 1 g lactose/100 g product. While "lactose free" is between 10-100 mg lactose/100 g product.

Therefore results obtained by using the MegaCalc Application for K-LACGAR can be compared to these these guidelines and the classification of the product can be determined.

Please note that these classifications and ranges may differ depending on the regulatory body and must be referenced.
