Can the K-FRUC method be used to test samples according to AOAC method 999.03 and AACC Method 32-32.01?

Yes, recently the K-FRUC kit was updated to include the measurement of levan type fructans, using a levanase enzyme.

The addition of levanase expanded the range of fructans that can be analaysed with this method as levanase allows the quantitative measurement of levan. Measurement of raftiline and branched fructans is not affected, as they were measured quantitatively without endo-levanase present in the mixture. The endo-levanase is surplus to the method requirements and the other components have not changed, therefore we still meet the method requirements of AOAC 999.03 in every way.

The K-FRUC kit can now also be used for AOAC methods 2016.14 and 2018.07 in addition to method 999.03
