K-FRUC traditionally only measured inulin and branched fructans and gave little measurement of levan type fructans.
Recently, we have included a levanase enzyme into the fructanase mixture, so the method now measures levans as well. Levans are produced by some micro-organisms and are present in temperate grasses.
