Can the K-PDCAAS Assay Kit be used to measure Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (DIAAS)?

Modified on Tue, 21 Apr, 2020 at 11:14 AM

The Protein Digestibility Assay Kit (K-PDCAAS) measures the Animal-Safe Accurate Protein Quality Score (ASAP-Quality Score) which is an in vitro enzyme digestion method that has a very high correlation to the in vivo rat digestion model Protein digestibility-corrected amino acid score (PDCAAS) (see graph below) and uses the same casein standard as a completely digestible control.

The Protein Digestibility Assay Kit (K-PDCAAS) will not provide a direct Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (DIAAS) value however the correlation between the ASAP-Quality Score provided by this kit (K-PDCAAS) and the DIAAS method will be similar to the correlation between the in vivo methods of DIAAS and PDCAAS methods.
